Bottle, pours into a snifter hazy dark orange with billowy white head. Not a lot of dissipation, good retention and lacing. Nose is first and foremost Belgian yeast, herbal, with fresh citrus notes. This one can easily become one of my favorites from Lagunitas (next to their stout of course!!). Beautiful, aromatic and very flavorful. Hoppy through and through but nothing overbearing. Easy to drink but watch that ABV! The alcohol is very well hidden; but it is there! Nice sting from the alcohol in the aftertaste. So good I was reaching for the
Pours an orange shade of copper with a wet, yellowish tan head. Faint pineapple and pot aroma. Similar taste with a malt warmth and hop bitterness. Very thick mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation and long lasting bitterness. The bottle suggests a wild ale, rate beer calls it a belgian strong ale, but it tastes like a IIPA to me.
