UPDATED: OCT 22, 2007 I like the Weizen-bock much better. The palate on this one is very heavy and syrupy. Lots of bubbles in my glass, but the palate is smooth. Aroma is sweet and alcoholic. The flavor really bothers me. Its VERY sweet--raisins, plums, banana. Upfront the flavor is nice, but it leaves an aftertaste that reminds me of vomit.
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2007 Aventinus...hm. I did not really enjoy this beer but i understand why everyone else would. You can taste some alcohol - but not 12%. Aroma is raisin and wheat. Extremely complex - i get it, just didnt rub me the right way.
