Oil can black with a creamy tan head. The musty-ness on this bad boy is over the top. Deep seeded notes of dark chocolate, raisens, plums and bourbon blend nicely with a cautioning 10% ABV - all working together to warm the aroma. The body is chewy, thick and quite lovable. UPDATED: MAR 31, 2009 Am I missing something here? This pours out of the bottle with absolutely no carbonation... reminds me of 1996 Rogue Imperial Stout... after a bit of pestering it into the glass theres a small film of dark brown bubbles. Palate is very thick and sticky, turning to creamy milk chocolate and a nice, roasty cream and bread flavo
Poured a thick opaque black with a small brown head. Roasted aroma is dominated by cocoa with some alcohol (not too much though for 10%) and some dark fruit. Flavor of dark chocolate, sweet roasted malt, and a bitter finish that lasts for a while. Very warming but the alcohol flavor is hidden very well. Full bodied thick and creamy.
