Hop Horizons

Bottle. Poured a small creamy, smooth tan head that most diminished, fine-large sized bubbles, minimal carbonation, good lacing, and a reddish brown hue. Aroma was wonderful-malty, chocolate, little smokey, sweet, and alcohol. The flavor was sweet, malty, chocolate, vinuous but not overly so, rich, smokey, caramel and a lingering aftertaste. Smooth

This is a pretty good brew. I must admit I was expecting a little more from it since the other Alesmith beers Ive had were all simply fanastic. Malty, quite smooth, a hint of roasted chocolate, small amount of smoke flavor. Its really kind of one dimensional. Still, a well made, quality beer and certainly worth trying at least once.

Very strong malt flavor- exactly like chewing on grains. Flavor and aroma arent blended. Smells like grain bucket. Low to medium mouth feel, but very heavy. Sipping beer.
