Pours a frost-hazed golden holding a white head for only a short while. Faint pale malts apparent in a vague, lagered aroma. Inoffensive. Mildly nutty, milky flavor with a touch of diacetyl. Finishes bitter but lingers bittersweet. <font size=-4>Via bottle from <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Places/ShowPlace.asp? Place Restaurant and Beer Garden,
12-oz. bottle of Golden pours true to its name, with a 1-finger white head that fizzled out quickly. Smelled like sweet hay. Taste was disappointing, like watery corn syrup that faded quickly with little oomph in the finish.
Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a light gold color with minimal head. Easy drinking, not much aroma to it. It seems like a step up from Budweiser, but that is as far as I would go with it.
