12oz bottle from Degarth. Dark brown pour with only very slight hints at some red throughout. Creamy, bubbly dark tan head that is mostly lasting, and leaves a thick layer of foam. Spotty drip lacing. Dark vinous fruits, raisins, figs, tobacco, chocolate and molasses. Also get a sense of boozy soaked fruit bread or something similar. Also a bit of
Bottled, consumed on 12/17/07. Pours a clear, dark brown. Makes a nice tan head that quickly reduces to a thin skin. Grape and mocha aromas. Thin, smooth mouthfeel. This porter wasnt as good as I hoped, but it wasnt bad by no means....Great use of roasted malts and hopes. Good head retention and nice color. Would drink again.
