500ml bottle straight from Munich courtesy of my mother-in-law in Paulaner half litre. Dark amber with lasting head and lace. Toasted caramel grassy wood aroma. Toasted caramel wood nuts and mild smoke flavor with very mild finishing bitterness. Medium body with a little fizzy sharpness. Pretty good, nicely toasted, but lacks richness and ful
Bottled (from beerangel.de). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some wood, mild roasted notes as well as some slight wooden sourness too. Elements are there but really makes a bad combination imho. Flavour is quite much the same with big time licorice coming through. Quite refreshing still. Nice palate, a bit sticky and q
0.5 l bottle, thanks Jukkabro! Reddish brown color. Malty, nutty and slightly chocolatey aroma. Nutty flavor with dark bread, chocolate, licorice and hints of dark fruits. Nice dunkel, although much better on draught at Munich.
