Historical Community Tasting Notes

Poured a nice dark black ... the head started as a two-tiered item, with big airy bubbles on top, and the thick tan pillow that quickly took over and stood guard over the beer. Theres big aromas ... chocolate malt mostly. The flavors are nice ... sweet undertone, but with nice little mocha topping and lightly sweet ending. Excellent.
Very dark brown with a thin, creamy brown head. Toasted and roasted, leather and caramel aroma. Some hops and coffee also. Silky body. Really not too sweet. Ive had some sweet stouts that were too much. Nice marriage of roasted coffee and musky, sweet lactic flavors. I get a bit of citrus also.
Pours pitch black out of the bottle. Sweet chocolate aroma some roasted malts and lots of coffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Lots of roasted chocolate flavor. Malty bitterness and coffee as well.
