Bottle. Pours an opaque blackness with a medium sized foamy brown head. Nose is hoppy and bitter with lots of coffee notes, roasted malts, and dark, bittersweet chocolate. Very reminescent to North Coast Old Rasputin or Victory Storm King. Flavor is hoppy and bittersweet with light molasses, roasted malts, coffee, hints of licorice, and dark chocol
Bottle. Pours a rich onyx with a nice olive head and clinging lace. Aroma is sweet and like a fine porter wine, with bits of coffee dispersed throughout. Flavor is a rush of roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Tangy hops cling to the tongue in the finish. Hints of black cherry are noticeable. Nice bitter finish that leaves the drinker wantin
UPDATED: NOV 14, 2005 Pours jet black with a big, lasting tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma is chocolate, molases, and coffee, tons of good roastedness. The flavor is as advertised. Round and full mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. The finish is long, though a bit too sweet.
