Pours dark amber/brown with a nice head. Aroma is malty (prunes, raisins) yeast and spice. Flavor starts sweet with nice dried fig, orange, cherry and yeast flavors. Finish is dry, salty with a hint of spice and anise. Mouthfeel is full an oily without over carbonation. Nice alcohol warmth. An excellent beer, but not up to Chimay blue or Roche
Dark amber, small offwhite head. Mild aroma from tar and coffee, with some malts. Flavor is coffee with some licorice and tar. Bitter sourish finish, and not compareable to the great trappists.
Pours a nice beutiful amber. Great fruity taste. My only gripe is it is just a little two overcabornated for my taste. Seems to get in the way of the great taste.
