Historical Community Tasting Notes

Preserved from the RateBeer community archive (circa 2000–2018)

The pour was more of a deep amber than reddish with a moderate head that stayed around for a few minutes. Up front there was a strong caramel malt character on the nose with a limited hoppiness. The body was about medium. The sweetness from the malts came on strong in the taste with a slightly bitter ending that balanced it out properly.

Copperbrown beer with a almost big and beige head. Aroma is malty and sweet, toffee, some tropical fruits, pleasant and quite fresh aroma despite of sweetness. Taste is toffeish and malty, drying aftertaste and wooden hoppyness. Very smooth and pleasant to drink. Positive surprise, nice and straightforward beer.

Aromas cereal, toast, and floral notes. Light sweetness. Light body, thin feel, and average carbonation. Overall a decent amber.
