(Bottled, 0.65l@Hilpe Hauki) Very dark brown with a small, cocoa head and some lace. Intensely roasted-malty aroma with lots of salty licorice, and some espresso notes. Very roasted-malty, slightly ashy-burned, very licoricey flavor with at least reasonably bitter hops. No signs of alcohol here. Medium-bodied, neutral and softly carbonated palate.
Definitely malty, but not thick! I was shocked. This beer is only quasi-thick. Nothing like The Yeti. I know I compare a lot of my stouts to this, but it was my favorite stout so that will be the basis of the comparison(s). Nice coffee/chocolate aftertaste. I can say I was impressed with that part of the beer. Even when I poured the beer I noticed
Pours very dark with large tan head. Arma is malt, taste is chocolate. Very good, better than the regular rogue chocolate stout IMO.
