Pours light coppery-amber with a 2 finger foamy light beige head that fades fairly quickly to a thick skim. Aroma is light caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, sweet bread crust and light floral notes. Flavor is caramel, straw, light cereal, light earthy/woody notes, buttered white bread, rooibos tea and herbal hops. Palate is light bodied with a moder
2009 Bottle - Pours clear and dark orange with a large off white head...aroma is dry malt and wheat, with some sulphur around the edges...flavour is similar, some slight grain and dough, lager skunk...pretty average, which is a great thing for leines...they do okay when graded on a curve...
The beer of choice at my friends apartment. Its one of the better reds ive had and im quite the fan of reds. Perhaps my view is a little biased. Amber taste with a little sweetness. Decent carbonation, but just something about it that makes this beer better than it may actually be.
