Beer Information
Jacob: Jacobator
This doppelbock is/was brewed by Jacob in Bodenwöhr, Bavaria, Germany. It's achieved an overall score of 74.84%. Based on 1 tasting, the average ABV is 7.50%.
It's the sort of stout that winks at tradition before taking a gentle sip of its own, all in partnership with Madrid’s Cervecera Península. It’s a robust but sessionable twist on the English stout, clocking in at a modest 4% ABV, making it dangerously easy to down more than you planned.
Poured out, Body Language pours deep as a raven’s wing with a tan head lingering like a friendly ghost. The aroma teases with malty biscuits, roasted nuts and a caramel richness rooted in dark sugar, and just a whisper of smoke to keep things interesting. On the palate, it stays true to its name, with the roast and nut layers doing most of the talking with the caramel legato humming beneath. The smoke is subtle, enough to intrigue but not overwhelm, and the whole package stays smooth, balanced, and utterly moreish.
