Keiths Brewery--Alexander Keiths India Pale Ale--2001 11.2 oz. Bottle. 5.00% ABV. (3.25 / 5.0) IPA??? Clear very light thin straw golden color. Headless but fizzy. No lace. Light floral hop front. Hints of fruit and Saaz. Crisp mild thin light fruit body. Overly strong citrus hop end. Light Ale. Light Pilsner Flavor. Sampled 11/15/2001.
Pale yellow pour with a small, short-lived white head. Sweet corn and biscuit malt aroma with some minimal stale hops. The taste is pretty much the same. Its like a slightly more full bodied and hopped up macro pale lager. The finish is vegetal and bitter. Thin body with lots of carbonation.
I am embarrassed that this beer is the most well-known Nova Scotian beer. Technically, it cannot be called a Nova Scotian beer any longer, as it is brewed in British Columbia. Everything about this beer is boring and flat. If you want a true, flavorful beer from NS, try Garrison or Propeller.
