Bottle. Poured clear dark redish brown with a big beige head. Aroma of burnt toffee / caramel. Medium body but very fizzy. In fact the fizziness ruined the beer. It poured OK, it didnt look crazily bubbly but each sip turned to a mouthfull of foam making it hard to taste - something wrong here definitely. The flavour was a fairly laid back stout w
[640ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Brown pour, with a thin white head. I got lots of cherry out of the aroma, together with traces of chocolate and sweet malt. Fruity on the palate, which is highly carbonated. Plenty of coffee and chocolate come out on the taste, which leads into a roasty, slightly tart finish. The body may be a little thin, but
bottle at home ... copper ... thin tan head ... dark malts ... light toffee malt ... light tartness ... soft roast ... its a bit thin and a little light as a stout ... ok
