Historical Community Tasting Notes

Preserved from the RateBeer community archive (circa 2000–2018)

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2006 Bottle (from Bitter Virtue, BB Apr 07). Pale watery appearance. Light spicy straw hop aroma with perhaps a little almost fruity English edge to it. Smooth malt body.Quite drinkable but other than the delicate hops at the start not much of interest.
Keg at Roma, Oxford. Pale gold with big white head. Light, dry, wheaty beer with heavy maltiness. If there is hop, it was too subtle for me. Crispness seems to be the key, it was ok but not special.
On tap. Light golden in colour with a small white head. Weak and thin. Notes of malt and hops. Too sterile.
