Historical Community Tasting Notes

Preserved from the RateBeer community archive (circa 2000–2018)

Draft at Flying Saucer Nashville. Pours a very nice copper red with a creamy off white head. Bready aroma. Lighter side of medium bodied with light to medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth with a slightly thin texture. Flavor or bready german malts with just enough hops to balance it out. Simple, but flavorful and easy to drink. Under rated.
(12oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear rich orange with a few lingering bubbles. Nose of pumpkin, bread, spicy rye, pretty nice. Taste of spicy bread, yeast, mildly metallic, floral, squash and nice carbonation. Creamy and spicy linger. One of the better Oktoberfests this year for me.
Bottle at Sip n Stroll in Katy, TX. Clear amber with small head. Taste is softly malty and nutty, and not bad, but just a little weak. Body is medium. Overall a decent Oktoberfest, but not one of the best.
