2002 edition: Spices come out very nicely in the aroma - orange peel and thyme (I just happen to be using thyme for my Christmas roast, otherwise I might not have been able to pick it out). There is also a slight hop aroma, actually slightly skunked (green bottle), but this dissipated quickly. Bottle gushed, poured a nice brown color, pretty good
Poured a deep rich brown, with a thick light brown head. The aroma was spicey and sweet. Alcohol was also detected. Very woody flavor, along with different spices and fruits. Really nice seasonal. I was lit up after this one on Christmas Eve.
750 pours amber brown with a monster head and little lace. The aroma is spicy and sweet smelling. The flavor is sweet and spicy with strong alcohol noted. The palate is medium rich for the style. Overall, pretty good.
