The beer pours a dark amber color with a white head. The beer gushed out to the top of the bottle when it was opened and took a few minutes to settle down. The aroma is very malty. I get a lot of toffee and iced tea notes, as well as a little bit of grassyness. The flavor is more of the same with lots of toffee, caramel and grass. Medium mouthfee
On tap into a lager glass. Appearance is a translucent amber with a small beige head and very little lacing. Aroma is mostly sweet and malty. Taste is somewhat hoppy up front but that quickly fades to malty Oktoberfestness. Medium bodied. I suppose this is alright.
25th October 2007 Warning! Early amateur rating! Darkish brown beer. Smooth and soft palate. Creamy malt. Not complex but quite drinkable.
