UPDATED: MAY 25, 2007 12 oz bottle that I picked up at Friar Tucks in Peoria. Pours black with a thin brown lacing head. Nose is lots of coffee and roast simiar to the flavors. Bitter coffee drying with nutty notes. Not too complex but the flavors and nose are strong and this is what makes it such a decent beer. Hey i its 900th rating.
350 mL bottle. Pours black with a thin creamy white head. Aroma of roasted malt and nuts. Clean, smooth palate. Taste of chocolate and roastiness, slightly dry and slightly bitter finish. Decent.
22oz bottle: Black thick pour with a nice white head. Aroma of nuts and coffee. Tastes like a mocha, which is kind of weird.
