355 ml bottle thanks to Ryan (Mooyagi) non ratebeer friend. As Firestone DBA Double Barrel Ale, marked 5.1% ABV. BB 03/01/11, sampled on April 24, 2011Clear copper color, tan head. Fresh, hoppy, citrus scent. Malty, caramel, hoppy taste. Citrus aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
12 oz bottle. Pale gold and very clear. Carbonation is fair and very little head. Nose is pale malts and slight hoppiness Taste is very bitter and a bit metallic and sharp. Hard to swallow and not smooth. Some nice maltiness on the way down but this is not what I expect from a FW beer.
really unique flavor, lots of well rounded spiciness from the hops. beautiful golden color in the glass. aromas are not quite as good as the flavor, but the flavor is very strong and well-balanced.
