UPDATED: AUG 4, 2008 Thanks BossHossBikes! Bottle best before October 5, 2007. Pours a very dark brown with a small whispy head. The nose is very malty with strong hints of nuts, toast, a bit of caramel. Actually, this smells like a high quality brown ale. Thats how I feel about the flavor as well. Lots of toasted nuts, appropriate malty flavor. .
22 oz. bottle, pours almost opaque, black but hints of red when held to the light. Aroma and flavor are both nicely rounded with good roastiness. Theres a substantial undercurrent of sweetness and fruitiness as well, perhaps plums. Finish is fairly dry. I think Ill pick up a case of this to keep around.
Dark red/brown ale. Aroma is sweet with hints of caramel. Sweet malts, but not much flavor. Decent beer, but seems rather flat.
