Bottle, Liquor World in Fayetteville. Pale copper with a nice white cap. Rustic dry cracker malt nose, just a pinch of earthy hops. Nice wash of malt warmth across the palate, delicate but with a good heft, hops rather understated but present, very clean dry finish. As a modern German-influenced sort of pils, this is very good. Sampled from a bottle at the Top of the Hops Beer Festival, Charlottesville, VA, 9/11/10. Pours a pale hazy gold color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of syrupy, grainy malts and a faint floral hop finish. The taste is nutty, grainy malts with citrus and floral hops. Medium bodied.

12 oz. from Bottleworks. North Coast can do no wrong as far as Im concerned. My list of favorite pilseners is rather short (Trumer... thats it). Smells like lilies and tastes like glacial waters. Recommended? Thought youd never ask.
