Light brown. Small off-white,head. Mostly diminishing, with light lace. Airy nutty, caramel malt, roasted aroma. Just the slightest hops in aroma. Fizzy, light mouthfeel. Watery texture. Nutty, caramel malty flavors.Maybe some cocoa as well. Finish is malty, slightly dry. Seems somewhat metallic. Very slammable, which I don't know if that's good or bad.
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2003 Nice slightly roasted chocolate/nut/caramel malt aroma/tease of hops.Nice off colored head that just sits there looking almost frothy/some lace.Roasty taste/some coffe/chocolate/a decent hop tingle.Palate is nice and finishes a bit dry w/some chocolate.Very nice brown ale that reminds me of some other styles of beer as well.
A decent brown ale that pours a deep brown/mahogany, with minimal head action. A little sweet with hints of light coffee, chocolate and a little vanilla and spice.
