Bottle purchased at Blind Tiger. Much darker pour than expected with very little head. Very different smell, which I assuming is coming from the aged wood. Taste of roasted malts with a bit of chocolate. Alcohol is well hidden which gives this a well balanced taste. Will definitely look to drink again.
Pours near black with a smallish dark tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate and caramel, very sweet and rich smelling. The taste is big chocolate and caramel as well, with a nice slightly bitter finish and a nice velvety texture. Very good.
American Strong Ale with dark full body, fruit aroma, solid head with coffee/chocolate malt and a subtle woodiness to PSM. I enjoyed it @ World Cafe Live Winterfest.
