Had this one at The Sea Captains House in Myrtle Beach. Very dark, almost black, nice head. Smooth on the palate. Dry. From there it went downhill. Maybe it was the hype, but this was a big disappointment for me. Slight hint of chocolate and a touch of coffee, a little hop bitterness, but other than that, it was fairly bland.

1/13/2009 - Pours deep brown. Strong malt aroma. Creamy tan, long lasting head. Taste of malt with slight bitter/dry finish.
