Mine must have been bottled just before 1FastSTis from his rating below, as it is best before 2/21/08. This must be a beer that can age. Pours a deep brown with a very fizzy head. The aroma is full of belgian yeast, plums/prunes. Very interesting flavor. Chocolate, with a tart finish. Im not really sure about this one.
Best by 2/22/08. Pours to a very dark brown body with a foamy cola-like head. The aroma is strange. Rye bread meets Belgian yeast doused with sugary cola. The flavor is papery, marble rye bread, cola without all the acid, powdered sugary, plums, light chocolate. The palate is papery, cola-like, thin and light.
Good and surprising. Taste is lingering in mouth, but still not too irritating. Like it to taste in place of the Blanche de Chambly, but not too often. Personnaly, I did not lke black beer, but this one I tried with firends, and emptied my glass. Going to keep one in my fridge.
