Historical Community Tasting Notes

Preserved from the RateBeer community archive (circa 2000–2018)

Orange amber colour moderate head and low condition. Fruit, malt and alcohol in the nose, more chewy malt in the mouth with a peppery spice note and more fruit and a kick of alcohol that lingers into the aftertaste with some malt.
Citrus and yeast aroma. Copper colour, big vanilla head. Tastes like mild Cointreau, with super maltiness. The usual Belgian mouthfeel, strong tongue tingle. Loads of carbonation, complex. A True Belgian Strong Ale!
The aroma is one of grain and pepper. Good start. As for taste - this is way too sweet for me. Its syrupy and cloying with not much dryness. Get a Duvel instead.
