Historical Community Tasting Notes

Preserved from the RateBeer community archive (circa 2000–2018)

Nutty, malty with hints of fruit (I sensed cherries). Enough hops to make a nice balance. Not as flavorful as others, but they dont all have to be and still be good.
A dark ruby red beer with minimal head. Falovours are reminiscent of sweet toffee and biscuits. Its quite "chewy" on the palate. Pleasant.
Overall unimpressive. Nice color and body but lacked the rich nuttiness I expect in an English Brown Ale.
