Abita Jockamo IPA is a crystal clear amber ale with a thin, off-white head that fades to a film and leaves excellent lacing. It has a nice, grassy hop aroma, with notes of juniper and allspice. Comes in a Lousiana themed stubby 12 ounce bottle. Brewed with spring water. No sign of a freshness date. Pours a classic amber with an one finger off white head. Smell leans more towards hops. They are lemony, herbally, and medicinal. Average scent for an IPA. The flavor is a bit on the light side, malty, with some citrus hops. It is weak and
Pours a medium, clear amber with moderate head. More malt on the nose than hops. Actually its own aroma altogether. Not sure what this beer is, but not representative of the American IPA style. Fairly smooth, finishes alright. Just not much...here. Okay, but not what Id call an IPA.
