This pours orange-amber into the glass, with a foamy white head that leaves soapy lace. The nose is a mix of spices and hops, with some citrus effervescence to punctuate. The flavor is of unripened tangy citrus, dry malts, finishing with a mild lingering bitter. The mouthfeel is a bit drier than the "traditional" IPA, albeit spice/zest-conscious,
Tap from keg at home... Pours a hazed orange with big head that has strong retention leaving some beautiful lacing. Aroma is highly hoppy of course with strong notes of citrus and floral with some notes of pine. Taste is very bitter but well balanced with mild sweetness and slight metallicish taste as well. Amber pour. Kind of fizzy. Small white head, gentle lacing. Very light, with some citrus. Very hops-forward in aroma and flavor, possibly a bit off balance. Some roasted malts, but maybe a bit short on the malt balance for me. Light bitterness on the finish. Very good beer.
