UPDATED: AUG 10, 2009 12 oz bottle from Secret Santa (sprinkle). Pours an opaque black color with an ample tan head that has good retention. The aroma is rich with coffee and spices. The flavor is similarly rich with espresso, coffee and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, full and creamy. The finish is long with lingering black coffee. Overall: This
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2009 Damn I love this beer. Smells like freshly ground coffee and molasses. Pours black with a lasting tan head. Very strong, bitter, grainy coffee flavor with hints of sweet vanilla. Smooth, creamy mouth feel. No hint of alcohol whatsoever - very smooth, enjoyable and drinkable. Possibly the best beer Ive ever had.
12oz bottle Black Pour, with a healthy tan head, good lacing. Heavy dark bitter coffee bean and roasted malt aromas. Mouthfeel is creamy and roasted coffee abounds. Not Overly complex, but the facets of this beer are so carefully balanced that it is difficult to find fault.
