Historical Community Tasting Notes

Preserved from the RateBeer community archive (circa 2000–2018)

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2008 750mL bottle (new import labels, so presumably pretty fresh, although already starting to protein-break a little bit). Head is initially huge, frothy, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium to dark yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2005 Potent caramel and thick malts serve as a bed for some light herbs and cantaloupAn alcohol whip lashes in tandem with some hop bitternessA tripel on the sweet side of things, but then again that is to be expected from these masters of the malt
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2003 Pretty strong. The alcohol is very conspicuous. It reminds me very much of the Bornem Triple. Maybe this is a touch more elegant.
