Bottle. Small head on top of dark brown body. Moderate nose has aromas of burnt malts, chocolate, vanilla and plastic, a combination not all that enticing. The sweet vanilla is up front in the flavor, but there is also a moderate bitterness in the finish and an undertone of malts. Midly acidic. Medium body with watery texture.
Dark and porter-looking in the glass. Aromas are a bit of stale grains, also very natural smelling and tasting vanilla. Palate is very dry with a lot of roasted flavors, not so much chocolate or coffee. I had high hops for a creamy vanilla porter, but this brew sadly did not live up to expectations.
Deep rich color - almost velvety in apperance with a fine tight head. Aroma is of malt with vanilla and pine. Flavor is smooth and well balanced. A very enjoyable porter (will definitely get again in the future).
