UPDATED: AUG 3, 2007 354 mL bottle: Ive always loved this from the bottle; on tap it just doesnt taste as good for some odd reason. Sweet, malty smell with great balance of bitter and malty. Definite sweet taste in there too. Not for everyone, but easy to get a taste for it. The bottles just have that something extra in the bottom, love it. Im
Im brewing a pale ale now, so I thought Id try this out to make some mental notes how I compare to a stalwart. Well, I havent tried mine yet (obviously), but this is not as good as I remember. Kinda bland. Yes, the deep amber color is still there. However, the aroma and flavor have gone - poof! The head and lacing are OK. Sam Adams tastes mo
At Applebees from bottle. Slightly hoppy to the nose. Floral hops with a hint of lemon zest on the initial taste. Fiairly boring backtaste. WAY too much carbonation. It almost hurt to swallow tis beer. Ive had much better.
