A one-of-a-kind hybrid of Rauchbier and Doppelbock, this is a nod to classic German beer traditions. This 9.4% alcohol by volume beer has a thick beige head and a dark amber pour. It smells smoky, like campfires with hints of caramel and toffee.
At first sip, the smokey notes bring to mind smoked foods. After a while, the malty sweetness of a Doppelbock takes centre stage. In the middle of the palate, hints of raisins and dark fruits like figs begin to show, which gives the flavour profile more complexity. On the palate, you'll find a combination of smoke and malt, and the finish is warm, which is a subtle indication of the alcohol content.
