Hop Horizons

2006 release. Pours an inpenetrable black with a small tan head. The nose is sweet, smokey and lactic. Milk chocolate, star anise, hickory and wood, and dries fruits come to mind. The flavour is complex and intense! with honey sweetness, chicory, smoke, black cherry, figs, roasted coffee and milk chocolate. The palate is unbelievable; slick, stick

This beer is extreamly black and there is a nice tan and thin head to it. There is also some minor laceing but nothing over the top. The aroma is very sweet and woody with some minor hints of booze with a malt background. As the beer warms and you take the first sip the initial taste is very swet, some bitterness but that fades quick. After that it

pours a dark black, with a thin tan head. Aroma of maple syrup, coffee, chocolate, and alcohol. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, and a nice alcohol burn at the end. Outstanding beer, but certainly not a beer ide wanna drink everyday.
