UPDATED: OCT 16, 2004 2004 bottle. From my oversized snifter this thing is just pitch black. I held it to a bunch of different lights and looked at it from all angles. Black. Huge creamy mocha head and a small amount of fine sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Im going to start off by talking about the flavor because this beer is about one th
Pours deep brown/black with a rocky tan malted mild head. Heavily roasted aroma of chocolate and coffee. Plenty of hop. Rich, full bodied and oily. Brown sugar. A little wood and smoke. Some late citrus. Salt in the long roasted finish. Great porter.
Pours black with a minimal tan head. Sweet aroma. Rich, coffee taste with a bitter chocolate aftertaste. A very well done porter. More on the bitter side than others.
