UPDATED: JUN 12, 2006 This is one of the many joys of the Christmas season. The coming of the holiday ales. This is probably my favorite brewer on the planet. But this was my first opportunity to try this particular selection. Sampled from a 25 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-brown color with a small tan head. The aroma was sweet and fr
poured an ultra dark ruby color almost as dark as cola with a thin white head...Aroma was strongly of sweet malts...Flavor was very sweetly malted with notes of dark fruits, raisins and plums...a nice Christmas beer
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2006 Dark, murky brown color with a big creamy tan head. Sweet aroma of candi sugar, malt and caramel. Sweet malty flavor with lots of caramel, candi sugar and spices(nutmeg, anise). Very enjoyable.
