Historical Community Tasting Notes

Brown bottle conditioned ale from Armanettis, Mundelein, IL. ABV 6.3%. Best before 6/20/05 so Im at least nine months ahead of the expiration date. Red amber hued ale having a small off-white diminishing head. Intense malt aroma touched with heady fruity esters. Soft carbonation. Medium-to-full bodied that starts with lightly sweet roasted malt fl
Beautiful looking beer in the glass. Poured carefully, with a fairly small head. Noticeable biscuit aroma, not too strong. Biscuit continues into the taste, also malty and very full. Long, firm hoppy aftertaste: a really good example of bottle-conditioned strong ale.
Excellent beer. Balanced, spicy, slight chocolatey flavor. very nice mouthfeel, thick. Tastes slightly yeasty, sort of like cake. I would definitely buy this again.
