Greene King and Thornbridge Unveil “Genevieve” – A New Cask IPA for Cask Ale Week

Greene King and Thornbridge have collaborated on a new cask IPA called Genevieve, launching just ahead of Cask Ale Week 2025. At 4.5% ABV, it features Bravo and Sultana hops with tropical fruit and citrus flavours, aiming to bring cask lovers something fresh this autumn.

As Autumn approaches, two stalwarts of the British brewing scene, Greene King (based in Suffolk) and Thornbridge Brewery (Derbyshire), have joined forces to produce a new cask IPA, Genevieve. This 4.5% ABV beer has been dry-hopped with Bravo and Sultana hops, delivering tropical fruit aromas and zesty citrus character, designed especially for cask fans eager for flavour innovation.

"Genevieve is a celebration of cask ale at its finest, full of character, brewed for the season and perfect for raising a pint to the start of autumn," said Simon Webster, co-founder of Thornbridge.

It will be available from select pubs and cask-ale-loving venues from now until October, including for participating locations during Cask Ale Week 2025 (18-28 September).

Greene King describes this collaboration not only as a way to push flavour boundaries, but also as part of their “Fresh Cask Releases” programme, which gives licensees seasonal and collaborative offerings throughout the year. With rising interest in nuanced hop profiles among beer drinkers, Genevieve seems well-timed to tap into this trend.
