This brewery is in Den Ham, Netherlands. I've had 4 different beers from it, with an average strength of 11% ABV. I've had beers from them in only one pub or place. Based on the beers I've had, the brewery has achieved an overall score of 93.6%.
Since its opening in 2010, Berghoeve Brewery, a craft brewery in the Netherlands' scenic Twente region, has made a major impression on the Dutch beer scene. Beginning with Geralda and Jurgen Bootsveld, who met during their Food Technology studies, Berghoeve has evolved from a driven pastime into a reputable artisan brewery.
The brewery's unusual location on the old "Mageler Es," a former family farm, lends a lovely rustic backdrop to its contemporary brewing methods. Their approach to beer-making reflects this mix of history and modernism. From classic flavours to creative and experimental beers, Berghoeve's beer collection is shockingly varied. Their barrel-aged offering are very well-known - their "Zwarte Snorre" imperial stout series is particularly outstanding. Ageing in different whisky barrels, these beers highlight the brewery's ability to produce intricate, high-ABV beers.
Their appreciation of quality is shown from their ranking as among the top 10 breweries in the Netherlands based on Untappd evaluations. For a quite tiny, independent brewery especially, this accomplishment is especially impressive. Berghoeve doesn't only pay attention to robust, barrel-aged beers. They have a large selection of types ranging from seasonal specialities to IPAs with Belgian inspiration. High appreciation also comes for their "Klabats!" barleywine and "Tsjuster" black IPA series, which show their adaptability as brewers.
The brewery uses the term "Exbieriances" for their beer tastings and brewery visits, and these give guests understanding of the ingredients, the brewing technique, and the histories behind their brews. The public's openness of the brewery and their teaching style show their love of disseminating beer knowledge.
Beer drinkers may conveniently buy their products from their webshop, which features brewery goods and especially barrel-aged beers. Their openness to experiment and collaboration is among their most fascinating features. To produce distinctive beers, they have collaborated with other breweries and companies, demonstrating a culture of innovation and community inside the craft beer scene.
